Presentation on The Odyssey Sunday after church. Sophie and I weren’t boring. The rest--
Days scrubbed clean by the harsh weather. Multiple turkeys at peace in the garden. Asked the check-out lady at Sav-Mor why the Post office was closed, why flags flew along Main Street in Weaverville, and she said, “Columbus Day.” I thought we had left that in the dust. Not many people hereabouts mention “Indigenous Peoples’ Day.”
Fought off waves of anger that didn’t seem to have real–or at least a palpable–source. So many people wasting so much time. Trump is no longer the issue, for he is gone in a whirlwind of senility and malice and no analysis of his policies or cure for the disease he spreads is possible.
